These spiders are very common in the garden and occasionally come into the house. They are usually smaller than a R5 coin.

These spiders are very common in the garden and occasionally come into the house. They are usually smaller than a R5 coin. The Wolf Spider is grey to brown in colour usually with a pale stripe down the back bordered with two darker stripes. They can be found hiding under plant debris and under rocks. They are free living or found in open tube silk burrows. They are harmless to humans and pets and seldom attempt to bite.
