Bark Spider

These small spiders are common in gardens and around human settlements and are also often encountered when out hiking. These spiders make messy webs at night between vegetation, often taking down their web in the early morning and rebuilding them again at night.

These small spiders are common in gardens and around human settlements and are also often encountered when out hiking. These spiders make messy webs at night between vegetation, often taking down their web in the early morning and rebuilding them again at night.

They are usually grey or brown in colour and have a very hairy appearance. They blend well against the bark of trees. Some of the field spiders may have a red marking under the abdomen.

They are harmless to humans and pets.
