Snake Removals List
The African Snakebite Institute snake removal list contains details of people country wide that do snake removal. This is always a better option that killing a snake or trying to catch it if you are inexperienced. This list is updated monthly. Please note that some of the people listed may charge a service fee for snake removals. View/Download

Hospitals in Africa
In a snakebite emergency, it is vitally important to transport the patient to the nearest hospital with a trauma unit. The attached list will be updated on a regular basis. View/Download

Citizen Science Project
The Reptile Virtual Museum housed by the Animal Demographic Unit of the University of Cape Town maps actual and photographic images of reptiles and is extremely useful when looking at up to date distributions.

HAA
The Herpetological Association of Africa was established back in the 1960’s and has several hundred members from around the world. In addition to a reptile symposium every second year (the last was held in January 2017 at Bonamazi in Zululand), the Association produces two fact-filled newsletters and two scientific journals a year. Membership is very cheap and a must for anyone who has a serious interest in herpetology.
